A confident smile can make all the difference – especially during your school or university years. Invisalign offers a discreet, comfortable, and effective way for students to straighten their teeth without the hassle of traditional braces.
Whether you’re giving a presentation, or enjoying time with friends, Invisalign helps you smile freely while keeping your orthodontic treatment practically invisible.
Invisalign can help correct a variety of dental issues such as crowded teeth, gaps, overbites, underbites, crossbites, and open bites:

When there’s not enough space in your jaw, teeth can overlap, twist, or get pushed out of position. This makes it harder to clean your teeth properly, increasing the risk of decay and gum issues.
Also known as buck teeth, this is when the upper front teeth stick out too far over the lower teeth. It can affect your bite and sometimes your confidence.
In an underbite, your lower teeth sit in front of your upper teeth. This may cause difficulties with chewing, speaking, and can put stress on your jaw joints.
A crossbite happens when some upper teeth sit behind the lower ones. Over time, this can lead to uneven wear, chipping, and even gum recession.
When the upper and lower teeth don’t touch when your mouth is closed, an open bite develops, affecting speech and how you bite into food.
Gaps between teeth can affect your smile and may lead to food getting trapped or speech difficulties.

Currently, Invisalign treatments for students are not covered under government dental subsidies like CHAS.
However, they are eligible under the Baby Bonus scheme through the Child Development Account (CDA). If your child has a CDA, you can use the available funds to help cover the cost of their Invisalign treatment. The Singaporean government matches dollar-for-dollar contributions to the CDA (up to a cap), which can significantly reduce your out-of-pocket expenses.
We also offer flexible installment plans as an alternative way to spread out the cost of treatment (subject to terms and conditions).
Invisalign treatment for students is considered non-surgical and cosmetic, which means it is not claimable under MediSave. For more details on what dental procedures are MediSave-eligible, please visit our MediSave for dental treatments page.
Invisalign First is specially designed for students between the ages of 7 and 12. This early phase of orthodontic care helps guide jaw and dental development, addressing issues like crowding or spacing before they become more complex. Starting treatment early allows for a proactive approach during a child’s natural growth phase.
With its smooth, removable, and virtually invisible design, Invisalign First fits easily into your child’s routine. It allows them to brush, eat, and play without the discomfort or dietary restrictions of traditional braces, making it a stress-free option for both students and parents.
Invisalign Teen is designed for growing teens who want a straighter smile without the look and feel of traditional braces. Nearly invisible and removable, it allows you to eat, brush, and stay active without the usual restrictions of metal braces.
It also includes teen-specific features like mandibular advancement for developing jaws, eruption compensation to accommodate growing teeth, and blue wear indicators to encourage consistent wear. Invisalign Teen offers a comfortable, discreet, and effective way to align teeth during the important years of growth and development.
For students aged 20 to 25, Invisalign offers a modern and discreet solution to achieve a confident smile without disrupting daily life. Whether you’re navigating university life, internships or national service, Invisalign aligners fit seamlessly into a busy schedule.
This phase of treatment focuses on refining alignment and addressing bite issues with precision, using advanced 3D imaging to tailor your Invisalign journey. Designed for comfort and convenience, Invisalign makes it easier to invest in your smile while juggling studies, social life and future career goals.
At i.Dental, we leverage advanced dental technology to enhance every stage of your child’s Invisalign journey. Using 3D digital scans and computer-guided treatment planning, we ensure high accuracy, improved comfort, and more predictable results.
Since 2014, i.Dental has been officially recognised by Align Technology, the makers of Invisalign, as an Invisalign Dedicated Clinic.
This designation gives us direct access to advancements in Invisalign technology. With these resources, we are well-equipped to provide your child with tailored, effective care to help shape a confident smile.
When you first start wearing Invisalign, you might notice a slight lisp, especially with “S” and “Z” sounds. This happens because the aligners slightly change the space in your mouth, affecting how your tongue moves.
The good news is that any speech changes are usually very minor and temporary. Most students adapt within a few days, and the more you talk with your aligners in, the faster your speech will return to normal.
If you’re ever feeling self-conscious during a presentation or class discussion, you can remove your aligners briefly. However, make sure to wear them for at least 20 to 22 hours a day to stay on track with your treatment.
You can enjoy all your favourite foods and drinks during Invisalign treatment, but only when your aligners are removed. Invisalign aligners must be taken out before eating or drinking anything other than plain water. Chewing with them can damage the aligners, stain them, and increase the risk of tooth decay by trapping food and bacteria.
After every meal or snack, it’s important to brush your teeth before putting your aligners back in. This keeps your teeth clean and your treatment on track. For drinks like coffee, tea, juice, or soft drinks, always remove your aligners first to avoid staining and damage. Water is the only safe drink to have while wearing them.
Invisalign is designed to fit seamlessly into your daily routine, including school activities and most sports. For lower-impact sports like soccer, basketball, cycling, or gymnastics, you can usually keep your aligners in without any issues.
However, for high-contact sports that require a mouth guard, such as boxing, martial arts or hockey, you should remove your aligners before playing. Aligners should not be worn with a mouth guard, as they won’t fit properly together and may affect protection or comfort.
With a little planning, you can continue to participate fully in school activities and sports while staying on track with your Invisalign treatment.
You should wear your aligners for at least 20 to 22 hours a day to ensure the treatment works effectively. Only remove them when eating, drinking, or brushing your teeth.
You’ll usually need to visit your dentist every 6 to 12 weeks to check your progress and ensure your Invisalign treatment is on track.
If you lose your aligners, get in touch with us right away. We’ll arrange a replacement promptly to help you stay on track with your treatment.
