What is iTero Element Intraoral Scanner?
The iTero Element Scanner is a digital impression system that eliminates the need for messy putty in your mouth. Not only is a digital impression more comfortable, it’s also much more accurate. With our iTero Element Scanner, we can digitally capture a detailed 3D model of your teeth and gums. Once the scan is complete, your dentist will then have a 3D model of your mouth that can be used with all Invisalign® services, including the Invisalign Outcome Simulator to show you what your new smile might look like.
How does it benefit you?
1. Preview your treatment outcome before committing to treatment
One of the best things about Invisalign is the ability for you to visualize your end result before starting the treatment using the Clincheck simulation. Many patients are hesitant as they would need to pay for the downpayment in order for the teeth mould to be sent to the United States before the dentist can create the Clincheck simulation.
But what if…. you are now able to see your treatment outcome before you even commit to any downpayment?
With our new iTero Element machine, we would be able to show you your projected treatment outcome right on your second consultation with us. Seeing the “end result” can remove the guesswork and uncertainty of your decision on whether to proceed with your Invisalign treatment. However, do note that it is, after all, a simulated outcome which may not be your actual treatment outcome.
2. Start your Invisalign treatment faster and complete it earlier
Gone were the days where your physical dental impression has to be sent to the United States via snail mail. With iTero Element, it can be sent digitally and hence, we can shorten the wait time for your aligners by 50%. This means that you can now receive your aligners within 4 weeks instead of 8 weeks. Patients who have been through the physical impression would know that it is not the most comfortable experience in the world. With a digital scan, you do not have to worry about gags or goops anymore.

With iTero Element, there are fewer rejection cases as compared to the traditional impressions, eliminating the need for you to come back to retake your impressions. This also means that your aligners will be more fitting!
