Dr. Austin Chan

Dr Austin Chan is one of our dentists from New Zealand. He graduated from the University of Otago, and practised in New Zealand, before deciding to move to Singapore to work in local private clinics. During his undergraduate training, Dr Austin was awarded a research scholarship in Dental Implantology, was commissioned by a private dental company to carry out dental research, and has published research papers in both national and international peer-reviewed journals in the fields of Endodontics and Orthodontics.

Good-natured at heart, Dr Austin empathises well with his patients and understands that dental visits can be very overwhelming. He listens actively to his patients’ treatment goals, effectively communicate treatment processes and limitations to patients, and strives to implement treatments with minimal discomfort. Dr Austin believes that dental visits do not need to be so painful, and that treatments can be carried out smoothly and without too much discomfort simply by being patient, not rushing through treatments, and with a gentle touch.
